The first Turkish astronaut, Alper Gezeravcı, responded to questions related to space from his social media account while aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Gezeravcı answered questions about how basic needs are met in space and provided information about the station.

Question: Where exactly are you located, what is your position? Gezeravcı: We are at an altitude of 400 kilometers above the Earth, on the ISS station. However, providing an exact location is not possible as the station changes its position at a speed of 500 kilometers per minute.
