Sony imagines a future where 'climate refugees' live in fleeting homes
A group of designers from Sony wanted to depict Tokyo in the future, in 2050, collaborating with science-fiction writers, which resulted in fairly interesting concepts.
Floating houses would have a motor, a sail and stabilizers, along with a foldable ceiling that can be positioned in the right way to survive a possible storm.
It would be also possible to change its position to use it as a propulsion while sailing.

When it comes to the houses, they would have two floors, the one above the water serving more as a common space, while the one below the water would provide a more private space.

Lastly, solar panels would be used to produce electricity, and it would be stored in a tank that is full of water, which would then be used as thermic energy.
