China and the European Union should enhance communication and deepen cooperation as the global situation grows more complex and turbulent, President Xi Jinping said on Tuesday in a meeting with Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro in Beijing.
China is willing to work closely with Portugal in multilateral cooperation to safeguard the free trade system and to promote a more just and reasonable global governance system, Xi was quoted by state news agency Xinhua as saying.
