Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in New York on Monday for talks.
The closed-door meeting at the Turkish House, or Turkevi Center, came on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting.
Türkiye recognized the independence of Georgia in 1991. The Protocol on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the two countries was signed in 1992.
Türkiye's relations with Georgia are at the strategic partnership level.
