The Gendarmerie Commando Special Public Order Command (JÖAK) parachute team ascended into the skies of Cappadocia with hot air balloons and performed a parachute jump.
The event was held in Nevşehir to mark the 187th anniversary of the founding of the Gendarmerie. The JÖAK parachute team, consisting of 16 personnel, completed their preparations and boarded hot air balloons prepared for the event in the town of Göreme.
The parachutists released themselves into the air from the balloons, carrying the Turkish flag, as well as banners of Atatürk, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the Gendarmerie.
After gliding in the skies above the town, they safely landed at the Göreme Festival Area. The event also included the opening of banners celebrating the 18th anniversary of the Gendarmerie by personnel from the Nevşehir Provincial Gendarmerie Command, while mounted Gendarmerie units patrolled among the hot air balloons.
