In Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the earthquakes, the glassware store, which became a subject of news and social media posts, reopened its doors after the products on its shelves remained intact.
Cengizhan Kabul, the owner of the store on the lower floor of Sara Sitesi A Block, located in the Şehit Abdullah Çavuş Mahallesi of Onikisubat district and which was slightly damaged in the earthquakes, opened his workplace, which has been closed since February 6, and started sales.
Plaster cracks were detected on the walls of the store, where the products on the shelves were not damaged, except for a few plates and glasses.
In the images recorded by the security camera of the workplace at the time of the earthquake, the shaking of the shelves, the falling of some products on the ground, the flying of dust, and shining lights and dust from a collapsed building nearby could be seen.
Cengizhan Kabul told Anadolu Agency (AA) that during the earthquake, he and his two children and his wife collapsed next to the base of the house, and they left the building when the shaking was over.
Explaining that his wife is a doctor and they were on their way to the hospital, Kabul said that they could go the 20-minute road in 1.5 hours due to traffic, and they spent the next 3 days in the hospital garden by staying in the car.
