Şahin said that Sheikh Jihad Hammadeh shared the news during the meeting, claiming that Roberto Carlos had allegedly embraced Islam.

I congratulate Roberto Carlos on embracing Islam and wish him and his family a life filled with peace, health and blessings."
Carlos married Moroccan-born Spanish businesswoman Suheyla Tahiri. Neither Roberto Carlos nor his family has yet issued a statement on the matter.
