Central African Republic President Faustin-Archange Touadera won a third term in office, according to provisional results Monday from the National Electoral Authority.
Touadera got 76.15% of the vote in last month's elections according to the results.
He was first elected in 2016 and reelected in 2020 with 53.16% of the vote in the first round.
The country's 2023 constitutional referendum removed term limits and increased the term of office to seven, allowing Touadera to run for a third term.
