The Saudi-led coalition supporting Yemen's internationally recognized government said Friday that it had intercepted and destroyed a drone in the region of the Saudi capital Riyadh.
Coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki announced the news in a statement posted on US social media company X.
The announcement came amid continued military escalation between the Saudi-led coalition and Yemen's Houthi group, which has launched repeated missile and drone attacks toward Saudi territory.
