France's Macron in favour of new European sanctions against Russia

French President Emmanuel Macron backed the implementation of new European sanctions against Russia on Tuesday, warning that state-sponsored hybrid aggression across Europe "cannot go unanswered" following a foiled drone plot at Germany's Leipzig Airport.

French President Emmanuel Macron said ⁠on ⁠Tuesday he supported the adoption of ⁠new European sanctions against Russia after a recent attempted drone attack in Leipzig ⁠that ⁠was attributed to Russia by German authorities.

"We must be united ⁠in support to Ukraine, France will continue to play its ⁠full ‌part," ‌he said ⁠in ‌a post on ⁠X.
