Kremlin slams French seizure of tanker in Atlantic as 'illegal'
The Kremlin said on Monday that it considered France's seizure of the oil tanker Tagor to be illegal and that it bordered on piracy. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists Russia would take measures to ensure the safety of shipping cargo in response to the incident.

The Kremlin on Monday slammed the seizure of a tanker in the Atlantic by France and other navies as "illegal", comparing the move to "piracy" after Paris said the vessel was violating sanctions.
"We consider these acts as illegal, they border on international piracy," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, adding that "Russia is taking measures to ensure the safety of its cargo."
