Qatar says regional efforts underway to de-escalate Iran tensions
Intensive diplomatic efforts are taking place between Iran, Qatar and other countries in the region, Doha's foreign ministry spokesman said Tuesday, after Tehran confirmed talks with the US.

Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Majed Al-Ansari said on Tuesday that there is regional collaboration and ongoing efforts aimed at ensuring de-escalation concerning Iran.
On Saturday, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met with top Iranian security official Ali Larijani in Tehran and reviewed efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.
