Putin receives top Iranian security chief Larijani: Kremlin

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a "previously unannounced" meeting at the Kremlin on Friday with Ali Larijani, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council.

Russian President Vladimir Putin met on Friday with the head of Iran's top security body, Ali Larijani, who was on a previously unannounced visit to Moscow amid tensions with the United States, the Kremlin said.

"The head of state received in the Kremlin the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Larijani, who is visiting Russia," the Kremlin said in a statement on its website.
