Private plane crashes in western India

A chartered plane crashed early Wednesday in India's western state of Maharashtra, officials said.
The plane, carrying Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar and others, crashed in Baramati, said public broadcaster All India Radio.
"Rescue operations are currently underway at the crash site," it added.
