Five U.S. soldiers shot and wounded at Fort Stewart Base in Georgia
Five soldiers were shot Wednesday in an active shooter incident at a US Army base in the state of Georgia. "All Soldiers were treated on-site and moved to Winn Army Community Hospital for further treatment. There is no active threat to the community," the Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airfield (FSHAA) said on Facebook.

Five soldiers were shot and wounded on Wednesday morning at the Fort Stewart U.S. Army installation in Georgia before the shooter was taken into custody, the Army said in a statement.
"Law enforcement was dispatched for a possible shooting in the 2nd ABCT complex at 10:56 a.m. The shooter was apprehended at 11:35 a.m.," it said in a Facebook post.
The Army did not provide more information about the seriousness of the injuries.
