South Korean President Lee Jae-myung has named Cho Hyun, a veteran diplomat and former representative to the United Nations, as the country's new foreign minister.

South Korea's President Lee Jae Myung has named Cho Hyun, a former representative to the United Nations, as new foreign minister, his office said on Monday.
Lee also nominated Ahn Gyu-back, a lawmaker and a member of the parliament's defence committee, as new defence minister, the office added.
