On Israel's latest attacks on the Gaza Strip which claimed the lives of more than 400 people, Türkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that Tel Aviv will account for "every drop of blood it shed."
"Unfortunately, at the time of suhoor, this Zionist regime committed genocide ... Most of them (deceased) were children and women," Erdoğan said at an iftar (fast-breaking) event at the National Defense University in Ankara.
"With the news I received this evening, the perpetrators of the massacre, in which over 400 of our brothers were martyred, will account for every drop of blood they spilled," he added.
Türkiye will firmly stand against those who, with the "delusion of a promised land, seek to drown" the region in blood, tears, and oppression, Erdoğan added.
"The fire, which is burning innocent children, babies, and women, will eventually consume those who stoke the flames and pour gasoline on the fire if this arrogance, madness, recklessness, and insolence continue," he warned.
Ankara will increase its diplomatic efforts to stop the "massacre," establish calm and restore ceasefire in Gaza, he added.
