Trump hails killing by US forces of al-Qaeda member in Syria
President Donald Trump praised U.S. forces for killing a senior al-Qaeda operative in Syria, calling the strike "justice" against a terrorist leader threatening America and its allies. The operation, carried out by CENTCOM, targeted a key figure in the al-Qaeda affiliate Hurras al-Din.

US President Donald Trump praised the killing by American forces of a member of al-Qaeda in Syria over the weekend.
"The terrorist leader was working with al-Qaeda across the region," Trump said on his Truth Social platform.
He also congratulated US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Gen. Michael Kurilla and "the US warfighters who dealt Justice to another Jihadi threatening America and our allies and partners."
CENTCOM announced Sunday that it killed a senior operative of an al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group in Syria.
"On Fed. 15, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Forces conducted a precision airstrike in Northwest Syria targeting and killing a senior finance and logistics official in the terrorist organization Hurras al-Din (HaD), an Al-Qaeda affiliate," it said in a statement.
