German basketball team reaches Euros finals

World champions Germany are through to the final of the European Championship after a hard-fought 98-86 victory over a resilient Finland side in Riga. Captain Dennis Schröder led his team to the win on Friday, ending the underdog Finns' impressive tournament run.

GERMAN BASKETBALL TEAM REACHES EUROS FINALS

The German basketball team has reached the final of the European Championship in Riga after the world champions, led by captain Dennis Schröder, defeated underdogs Finland 98-86.

The team is due to play for its second European Championship title since 1993 on Sunday evening.
