Four women and two girls died after their boat capsized shortly before reaching safety in Spain's Canary Islands on Wednesday, emergency services said, the latest tragedy on the perilous migration route.
"So far, the total number of dead has reached six people: four women and two minors, a 16-year-old and a five-year-old," the Atlantic archipelago's emergency services said on X.
