Thousands of protesters, with drums and signs reading "Free Palestine" and "US funding genocide," marched from Times Square down New York's iconic Fifth Avenue and continued their demonstration at Washington Square Park.
A significant presence of New York Police Department (NYPD) officers was observed at the protest.
As Israel's genocide in Gaza marks its first anniversary, protests were also held in other states, including Los Angeles and Washington.
