Esmer, who lives in the town of Binnish in eastern Idlib, told AA correspondent that he drew graffiti on the debris of a collapsed house to show solidarity with the earthquake victims who could not overcome the impact of the earthquake.
Explaining that he drew a rose and a hand waiting for help on the wall of the collapsed house, Esmer said, "Even though a year has passed since the earthquake, the earthquake victims who lost their homes and loved ones have not yet overcome the pain they experienced. We should not forget them. The rose also represents hope."
Esmer stated that the earthquake victims have not been able to rebuild their collapsed houses and said, "They have not regained stability. We call on all countries and humanitarian organizations around the world; do not forget the earthquake victims, help them."
