Jewish youth who refuse military service against Gaza's bombing

Jewish youths in Israel are increasingly refusing mandatory military service, with some citing the Israeli army's oppression of Palestinians as their reason for conscientious objection. These conscientious objectors, like 18-year-old Tal Mitnick, view the military as an operational arm of Jewish exclusivism in the region and reject participation in what they see as oppression. Instead, they opt to pursue human rights activism. The ongoing conflict with Hamas in Gaza has intensified their convictions, with these objectors advocating for a different approach to achieving security and peace.

Davidov noted that many Israeli human rights activists refrain from advocating for Palestinians due to fear of the army, police, and people they describe as "fascists." He mentioned that many friends who filmed Jewish settlers attacking Palestinians in the occupied West Bank were beaten by armed settlers.

"I DON'T WANT TO SERVE N A RACST ARMY"

Another Jewish youth who refuses military service, Ella Keidar, believes that everyone has the right to live freely and well.

Keidar said, "I don't want to serve in an army that enforces occupation and implements a racist regime. This exploitation of occupation cannot continue."
