Jewish settlers attack Palestinian residential areas in West Bank

Ibrahim Suleiman, the Mayor of the Rammun Municipality east of Ramallah, stated that Jewish settlers attacked the area where Palestinian farmers in the town were located, and in the attack, 2 Palestinians were injured. Suleiman also noted that Israeli soldiers detained a Palestinian, and he reported that Jewish settlers attacked a building where two Palestinian families lived, attempting to steal their sheep. Local residents tried to prevent the theft. Suleiman also noted that, with Israeli soldiers present, Jewish settlers forcefully entered the area wielding sticks. He pointed out that the unauthorized Jewish settlements exert control over roughly 25,000 acres of the town's total land area, which amounts to 38,000 acres. The town's population is approximately 3,000 residents. A video of a Palestinian injured and bleeding from the face during the attacks by Jewish settlers in the town of Rammun was featured on the Facebook page of the Separation Wall (Wall of Shame) and Settlements Resistance Council affiliated with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The description of the video stated, 'There were casualties in an armed attack by colonial terrorist gangs against the people in the town of Rammun, northeast of Ramallah.' On the other hand, the Council reported that Jewish settlers in the southern West Bank, under the protection of Israeli soldiers, were grazing their animals in the village of Susiya in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, on Palestinian agricultural lands and gardens containing productive olive trees. In response to continuous violations against Palestinians and sacred values, particularly Al-Aqsa Mosque, Hamas' military wing, the Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, carried out a comprehensive attack against Israel on October 7, 2023. Israel announced that in the attacks on October 7, 1200 Israelis were reported dead, and 5,132 people were injured. Since October 7, Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip have resulted in the death of at least 24,927 Palestinians, including 10,800 children and 7,250 women. Additionally, 62,388 people have been reported injured. There are reports of thousands of people still trapped under the debris, and civilian infrastructure, including hospitals and educational institutions where people sought refuge, is being targeted and destroyed. In the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, 369 Palestinians have lost their lives in attacks by Israeli forces and illegal Jewish settlers since October 7, 2023.
