Israeli airstrike kills one in Southern Lebanon amid ceasefire violations

In an airstrike by Israel on southern Lebanon, one more person has died. Israeli warplanes carried out intensive air attacks on the southern Lebanese towns of Ensariye and Adlun, according to Lebanon's official news agency NNA. The report stated that a bulldozer repair hangar was targeted in the strikes, resulting in the death of one Syrian and causing injuries to others. The aircraft reportedly flew at low altitude, striking a vehicle complex adjacent to the Zahrani-Sur highway, with some houses in Ensariye sustaining significant damage. The Israeli military's warplanes had also killed four people in an attack on southern Lebanon the previous evening. Despite the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon that came into effect on November 27, 2024, Israeli forces continue almost daily air and ground attacks in southern Lebanon. Since the ceasefire began, the Israeli military has violated it over 4,300 times, resulting in at least 245 deaths and 513 injuries. While the Israeli army has partially withdrawn from southern Lebanon, it still occupies five strategic hills captured during recent clashes.
