Elon Musk met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu aimed anti-Semitism controversy that drew criticism from the White House and led major advertisers to leave Twitter (formerly known as X).
In addition to meeting Netanyahu, Musk was scheduled to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Benny Gantz, a former defense minister now part of a special war Cabinet.
It remains unclear whether Musk was invited or attended independently, X, which is formally known as twitter did not provide a comment.
Israel's communications minister, Shlomo Karhi, announced a deal between his ministry and Musk's Starlink satellite internet company.
The agreement stipulates that Starlink satellite units can only operate in Israel, including the Gaza Strip, with the approval of the Israeli Ministry of Communications.
