Some 250,000 civilians in Tal Rifat and the surrounding areas were displaced in 2016 by YPG/PKK terrorists. They sought refugee close to the Turkish border.
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
The YPG has been acting in the northern region of conflict-hit Syria as the bloody-minded PKK terror group's offshoot.
