Türkiye develops advanced counter-drone system TRAKON

A countermeasure system against drones, which have become a significant threat recently, has been developed using Türkiye's defense industry capabilities. Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS) Group companies conducted an integration study to eliminate drone threats. The UNIROBOTICS company, focusing on remote-controlled weapon systems (RCWS), robotic technologies, autonomous systems, and electro-mechanical solutions, successfully completed the testing of the Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS). The TRAKON RCWS, equipped with a CANiK M2 QCB heavy machine gun, was specifically designed to enhance defense capabilities in C-UAS operations. The advanced technology solution offers critical protection for both land and sea missions and provides comprehensive defense against various threats. TRAKON, with its radar integration, successfully demonstrated the ability to neutralize drone threats of various types. Designed for seamless integration with different Combat Management Systems (CMS), TRAKON offers advanced capabilities such as automatic target tracking, engagement planning, and enhanced fire control systems, improving operational flexibility and effectiveness. These features allow the system to respond quickly and accurately in dynamic and complex environments. Omur Baç, CEO of UNIROBOTICS, emphasized that the TRAKON RCWS, developed as a C-UAS solution against unmanned aerial and marine vehicles, successfully demonstrated its ability to neutralize such threats. He also noted that they continue to produce innovative solutions by carefully listening to the end-user needs on the battlefield.
