In the past week, 193 individuals attempting to cross our borders illegally have been apprehended. Among them, 20 are terrorists, and 15 are members of the FETÖ terrorist organization.
2,900 individuals were prevented from crossing the borders illegally. Thus, the total number of those apprehended while attempting to cross the borders illegally since the beginning of the year has reached 4,258, with 216 of them being members of the FETÖ and 326 being terrorists.
The number of individuals prevented from crossing the borders has reached 128,812.
As of January 1st, 892 terrorists have been neutralized within the scope of the Counter-Terrorism Operation, with 44 of them being neutralized in the past week. Since July 24th, 2015, a total of 38,235 terrorists have been neutralized.
In the past week, there have been two harassments and attacks by terrorist organizations in our operation areas, and as a result of the immediate response of our heroic commandos, 30 terrorists have been neutralized.
Since January 1st, there have been a total of 81 harassments and attacks by terrorist organizations in our operation areas, and 661 terrorists have been neutralized.
