TRT World Forum 2022, which unites leaders, commenced in Istanbul with the theme 'Mapping the Future: Uncertainties, Realities and Opportunities'. The first day of TRT World Forum hosts H.E. President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, TRT Chairman of the Board Ahmet Albayrak, Director General of TRT Mehmet Zahid Sobacı, academics, journalists, policymakers and non-governmental organisations from all over the world. 'The refusing of Romania as a schengen area should be a reason for Putin to celebrate, if the EU deals with Romania after almost 16 years of joining the EU in this way, how would it deal with Türkiye ?', said Victor Ponta, the former Romanian Prime minister. 'I think that Türkiye has been ready since a long time to join the EU in but the EU did not expanded to include Türkiye and this is why I believe that the EU is doing so bad on its enlargement process. Why should Türkiye join the EU although that if you cross the Turkish borders to an EU state the gas prices will be higher 3 times?, I think that the Turkish polices are much better than Europe in energy'. he added. 'Africa should not be seen as a raw material supplier, Africa should reform it self to be a strong and independent body and should not be considered as a country rather than a continent, Africa should not be a follower to the west, Africa has its own interest that has to stick to.' said Vincent Biruta, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and international cooperation of Rwanda. 'The ignorance of the grain supply issuesince 200 years has created huge effects which is more obvious now, the foos insecurity is a major global problem in to many countries specially in Africa, we need to fix our food systems in order to reach the food security.' said Chris Hegadorn, former CFS Executive secritary after a recorded video message form Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus WHO cheif. 'The Black Sea initiative that we have to thank the Turkish government for achieving has played a major rule in regulating grain supplies from Russia. Food security is a matter of national security and governments have to take more seriously, food security is having 'food sovereignty.' he added. 'Without food security there is no solution for any crisis, governments has no solution except solving the food security problem first because food is the main security issue, the thing about the international organizations is that they just look great on papers but not on real life.' said Mukesh Kapila, a specialist in crisis and conflict management, humanitarian affairs. 'we have to feel mad, we have to feel angry so the people who have never felt hungry can finally be scared from being hungry and start doing serious actions and end hunger.' Kapila added.
