Snakes spark fear among Avcılar district residents in Istanbul

The fear of snakes swept through Istanbul's Avcılar district, causing panic among the locals. The snake, which unexpectedly emerged during the infrastructure work carried out by İSKİ and slithered into a vehicle, was caught on camera, capturing the attention of viewers. Meanwhile, residents of the neighbourhood began voicing their concerns, raising the banner of rebellion: 'The increase in snake and mouse sightings is undoubtedly linked to the ongoing infrastructure work.' In Avcılar, an extraordinary incident unfolded. A snake, rumoured to have surfaced amidst the prolonged construction work carried out by İSKİ, was spotted perched on the rim of a parked car. As a curious cat cautiously approached the snake, displaying signs of fear, Ahmet Canarslan, a local shopkeeper, promptly stepped in to intervene. Witnessing the situation unfold, a woman passing by decided to lend a hand by attempting to remove the snake from the tire rim using a bag she had in her possession. However, her efforts proved futile. 'The ongoing infrastructure work in our area has been causing quite a disturbance. As a result of this extensive project, we have been witnessing a significant increase in snake and mouse sightings. The snake we encountered today was unlike anything we had seen before. It was a large serpent that somehow managed to become entangled within the wheel, making it incredibly challenging for us to extract it. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to free the snake from its predicament,' Ahmet Canarslan, a local shopkeeper, told reporters.
