AK Party Tekirdağ Deputy Gökhan Diktaş conducted an inspection in the areas where the spraying operations took place and met with the Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Oktay Öcal, the headman of Hanoğlu neighborhood, Turgay Güngör, and the farmers.
After the inspection, Diktaş stated that the authorities took action against the locusts upon being notified by the farmers.
He mentioned that the spraying operations have started and that they wait until evening to avoid harming bees. He also stated that they took early measures and that there are no visible material damages to their fields and sunflowers. T
He intervention was made when the locusts were just starting to appear in small numbers around the fields.
