The island in Lake Beyşehir, Türkiye's largest freshwater lake, is looking for a new owner at a price of $9 per square meter. Located 12 kilometers from the district center in the Gölkaşı neighborhood, the island is known as 'Chechen Island.' Covering 550,000 square meters and measuring 2 kilometers long, it has a rectangular shape and features views of the Anamas Mountain and the lake, where agriculture and livestock farming take place. Livestock and agricultural machinery are transported to the island by boat, which is 2 kilometers away from the neighborhood. The owner, who decided to sell the inherited island, has made an agreement with a real estate company. Investors and other interested parties are visiting the area to conduct research on the property, which is for sale at $9 per square meter. Gölkaşı Neighborhood Headman Ali Navruz mentioned that there are multiple islands belonging to the neighborhood. He noted that some islands are used for agriculture and livestock, stating, 'Chechen Island is for sale. Its price is around 165 million lira. It is a total of 550 acres. Livestock and agriculture are carried out on this island. It will be sold now. I know there is a single title deed. Some people came recently, but they apparently did not reach an agreement.' Navruz added that access to the island is possible with a raft and boat capable of carrying up to 10 tons. Samet Ok, the owner of the real estate company handling the sale, said, 'Selling an island in Konya is exciting. There is no place like this in the city. This is the only island for sale. It stretches 2 kilometers from north to south and up to 400 meters from east to west. It is a place of natural beauty. There is a lot of demand. The price per square meter has been set at $9. We are waiting for our customers.'
