Today is Mawlid al-Nabi

The term "Mawlid," which means "birthplace and time" in the dictionary, is used in Islamic culture, particularly to refer to the birth of Prophet Muhammad, the ceremonies held in this context, and the works written about it.

During the times of the Ottoman, Mamluk, Ayyubid, and Fatimid states, in addition to the official celebrations of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, literary works that dealt with the love for the Prophet were composed in Turkish and Arabic literature.
