Swedish Education Minister Simona Mohamsson told the country's official radio SR that the decision would apply to elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide from 2026.
Mohamsson stated that the ban would also apply during recess.
She noted that the government allocated a budget of 10 million dollars to implement the proposal, adding: "Instead of wasting time on TikTok, students should learn to enjoy spending time with their friends or playing football during recess."
