Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Monday at 14,269.21 points, increasing by 0.62% or 88.52 points.
On Friday, the BIST 100 was flat at 14,180.69 points at Friday's close, with a daily transaction volume of 223 billion liras ($5.1 billion).
As of 10.05 am local time (0705GMT), exchange rates stood at 43.7220 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 51.9090 to the euro, and 59.6810 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,990.90, while Brent crude oil was trading at $67.3 per barrel.
