Turkish, Canadian top diplomats discuss ties in phone call
The Turkish Foreign Ministry has released a statement confirming that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had a telephone conversation with his Canadian counterpart, Melanie Joly, on Saturday. The two diplomats discussed topics such as NATO's enlargement and the bilateral relations between Turkey and Canada.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Canadian counterpart, Melanie Joly, held a telephone call Saturday and discussed NATO's enlargement and relations between Türkiye and Canada, according to a statement from the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
Joly also congratulated Fidan on his new position, it said.
