Two people were killed and three others remain missing after a bridge under construction collapsed in Yancheng city in eastern China's Jiangsu province, state-run Xinhua News Agency reported Tuesday, citing local authorities.
The accident occurred Monday when part of the unfinished bridge suddenly gave way.
Emergency services were dispatched immediately, and search-and-rescue operations continued through the night.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the collapse.
