Japan sets highest-ever temperature on record of 41.6 degrees Celsius
Japan hit a record-breaking 41.6°C in Isesaki, surpassing last week's high of 41.2°C in Tamba, as extreme heat grips the country.

Japan recorded its highest-ever temperature of 41.6 degrees Celsius (106.9 degrees Fahrenheit) in the eastern city of Isesaki on Tuesday, the country's Meteorological Agency said.
The reading surpassed the previous record of 41.2C set last week in the city of Tamba in Hyogo prefecture.
