Turkish president holds phone calls with Turkish Cypriot leaders after deadly passenger ship capsize

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone on Sunday with TRNC President Tufan Erhürman and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, offering condolences and coordinating joint emergency operations following the Kyrenia ferry disaster.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone on Sunday with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Tufan Erhurman and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel following a deadly passenger ship capsize off Kyrenia.

During the calls, Erdoğan offered his condolences for those who lost their lives in the incident.

He also said Türkiye is providing full support for ongoing search and rescue efforts.
