Russia warns of growing tension in Arctic over NATO drills

The Russian Foreign Ministry warned on ⁠Thursday that ⁠tension was ratcheting up in the Arctic ⁠due to drills held by the NATO military alliance.

NATO said last month it had ⁠launched ⁠a mission called Arctic Sentry to strengthen its presence in the region, part ⁠of an effort to defuse tensions within the alliance prompted by U.S. President ⁠Donald ‌Trump's ‌push for ⁠the U.S. ‌to acquire Greenland.
