Volodymyr Zelensky told US Vice President JD Vance that he respects Donald Trump's efforts to end the war, the Ukrainian president said after pushing back on Washington's Moscow-friendly plan to stop the fighting.
"Ukraine has always respected and continues to respect US President Donald Trump's desire to put an end to the bloodshed," Zelensky said on social media following a phone call with Vance and US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll that he said lasted "almost an hour."
