US President Donald Trump said he told Volodymyr Zelensky at a White House meeting Friday to make a deal with Russia to end the war in Ukraine, saying both sides should "claim victory" and stop the bloodshed.

Trump said on Truth Social that his meeting with Zelensky was "very interesting, and cordial, but I told him, as I likewise strongly suggested to President Putin, that it is time to stop the killing, and make a DEAL!"
