UN chief Guterres urges all to seize opportunity to end Gaza war
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday welcomed Hamas's declared readiness to release hostages under a Gaza peace deal announced by US President Donald Trump. "The Secretary-General welcomes and is encouraged by the statement issued by Hamas announcing its readiness to release hostages and to engage," Guterres spokesman Stephane Dujarric said in a statement.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is encouraged by the Hamas statement in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end the war between the Palestinian resistance movements and Israel in the Gaza Strip, U.N. spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said on Friday.
"He urges all parties to seize the opportunity to bring the tragic conflict in Gaza to an end," Dujarric said in a statement.
