Fukushima Nuclear Plant evacuated
Following the earthquake off the coast of Kamchatka, Japan—one of three countries under tsunami threat—has evacuated the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant.

The first tsunami waves reached the northern city of Hokkaido, with wave heights reported at 30 cm.
Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), which operates the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, announced that all personnel had been evacuated and that no abnormalities had been reported so far.
