Singapore's PAP wins election with 87 of 97 seats
The ruling People's Action Party (PAP) won Singapore's general election on Saturday, securing two-thirds majority in the parliament. The PAP has won 87 seats in the 97-seat parliament.

Singapore's People's Action Party won its 14th successive election on Saturday with 87 of 97 seats in parliament, according to results from the election commission, extending its six-decade rule over the Asian financial hub.
The PAP had yet to be formally declared winner but had won in 30 of 33 constituencies, the commission said.
