US President Donald Trump says he and his wife Melania plan to travel to Rome to attend the funeral of Pope Francis, in what would be his first trip abroad since taking office in January.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday he will attend Pope Francis' funeral in Rome.

"Melania and I will be going to the funeral of Pope Francis, in Rome," Trump said on Truth Social.
