US imposes sanctions on International Criminal Court prosecutor
The US Treasury Department imposed sanctions on ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan on Thursday, following an executive order signed by President Donald Trump on February 7. The sanctions come in response to the ICC issuing an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over alleged war crimes in Gaza.

The US Treasury Department imposed sanctions Thursday on International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor Karim Khan.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Feb. 7 sanctioning the ICC for issuing an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
Trump accused the world court of engaging in "illegitimate and baseless actions targeting America and our close ally Israel."
