China has sent invitations to several European leaders to meet with President Xi Jinping, the South China Morning Post reported, citing a senior source.
French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz were invited to the meeting in November in Beijing, along with Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, the report and the source familiar with the issue added.
All four have yet to decide whether to accept, the report added
