Syrian foreign minister meets Lebanese president in Beirut
Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani has met Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in Beirut during an official visit aimed at boosting ties between the two neighbors.

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani met Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at Baabda Palace in Beirut on Thursday, Syrian media reported.
During his official visit, Shaibani is expected to meet several senior Lebanese officials, as well as political and religious leaders, according to private broadcaster Syria TV.
The visit comes as Damascus seeks to open a new chapter in Syrian-Lebanese relations and strengthen bilateral cooperation.
No further details of the talks were immediately available.
